Spectroscopic classification for PSN J01364816+1545310 in M74 with FLOYDS at Faulkes Telescope South

We report a spectroscopic observation of PSN J01364816+1545310 in M74, obtained robotically with the FLOYDS spectrograph at Faulkes Telescope South at Siding Spring on July 27.73 UT. The spectrum (range 320-1000nm) shows a blue continuum with balmer lines typical of a young SN type II.
Fits to a library of spectra using superfit, gelato, and SNID shows best match with early spectra of SN 1999gi (Nakano, S., and Kushida, R. 1999, IAUC 7329 .
